Had an argument with my brother last night, mostly over things that no longer matter and were certainly none of my business. Nothing like airing ugly feelings or opinions just before the holidays to make the season bright.
I apologized via text message, because I think a telephone or face to face apology is just going to open wounds. I'm not too happy about it, disappointed in myself because I had told myself a long time ago that I wasn't going to express my feelings or opinions about certain subjects, mostly because they weren't my business and it wouldn't affect the outcome in any case. I'm not totally to blame, but I accept my culpablity. I guess I have my first of many New Year's resolutions to work on.
The good news is that I will be missing the "feats of strength" portion of the Festivus holiday.
