Well, I just replaced the hawse vent on The Cat's Pajamas. What a vast improvement! I replaced it with an OEM vent so it looks the same as always, just clean and functional. It's a vent made by the Sea-Dog company. Here it is.
Update:
Replaced the lightbulb on the port side of the trailer.
I read the news today, oh boy. About a lucky man who made the grade and though the news was rather sad, well I just had to laugh, I saw the photograph.

I followed your link, and I still have no idea what this vent does. I suppose it vents something.
What's a hawse? What does it do?
Dear Barbara-Rose,
It's a vent on the deck to ventilate the cabin. The fitting on the deck was damaged from around 20 years of weather and it was simply disintegrating.
