"Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends..."

"...we're so glad you could attend come inside, come inside"

It was 30 years ago today that my big brother took me to see my very first rock concert. Emerson, Lake and Palmer at Cobo Arena. We had good seats and I was all of 14 years old in the 9th grade. Pretty cool stuff. That experience still ranks as one of my all time favorite concerts, it forged a bond with my big brother that I share to this day and it became the gold standard by which all subsequent concerts were measured. My brother and I have attended a few ELP concerts since, but nothing will compare to that late spring day when my brother and I were in attendance when Keith Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer and a seventy piece orchestra were at the height of their powers.

I kept my ticket stub and my program and have scanned them here for your perusal, behold these artifacts of late the 1970's progressive rock movement at it's zenith.
